Create Central Skills Accelerator Briefing 1
June 26, 2023 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Create Central is hosting an online briefing to hear more about our upcoming Skills Accelerator programme of activities.
Come and find out why we were selected as one of six UK BFI Skills Clusters, and how this work combines with our wider activity most recently announced at the Create Central Shape the Future launch.
This briefing is an opportunity for you to hear an overview of our plans around the Skills Accelerator training programmes, our commitment to engaging talent from underrepresented backgrounds and how we are building on industry partnerships.
Learn more about how these activities will connect local skills bases, support talent across the West Midlands, and create opportunities to engage with Create Central further. We will be holding two online briefings on:
Monday 26 June at 3pm & Wednesday 28 June at 1pm
The briefings will be approximately 60mins and are the same, so you only need to register for one. There will be a presentation as part of these online briefings and an opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
Please note, this is an introductory briefing and will give an overview of the upcoming programme of activities. There will be further detailed briefings in July about how to tender to deliver any of the training programmes outlined.

*ABOUT THE MONITORING FORM
Create Central is committed to increasing the diversity of our creative workforce in the West Midlands. We know, like everywhere else in the UK, our industry workforce doesn’t represent the people who live here.
We have been selected by British Film Institute (BFI) as one of six skills clusters. The funding focusses on establishing localised support for skills development and training, with a clear aim to create new opportunities for people from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue careers in the sector – it is all about increasing equity, diversity and inclusion in the film and TV industry.
We know it can feel like an irritation to be asked about private information, but it’s really important for us to gather this data so we can start to see the impact of the funding we have been given and know that we are really reaching the people this funding is designed to support. We would be extremely grateful if you could fill in the form which is completely ANONYMOUS. A ‘prefer not to say’ option is provided throughout.
