Step Up To Production Accountant Training Programme
As part of Entertainment Partners’ commitment to supporting the film and television industry and investing in their Talent Development Fund – they are delighted to open applications for the Step Up to Production Accountant Training Programme November 2024.
Course Information:
Dates: Monday 18th – Friday 22nd November 2024
Times: 9.30am to 5.00pm
Location: This course will be run in-person in Manchester.
Course Overview:
During this training participants will:
- Gain clear insight and understanding of the role and responsibilities of the Production Accountant through both practical and theoretical learning.
- Be tutored and guided by an experienced Financial Controller and specialist Guest Speakers.
- Benefit from mentorship and guidance from both tutors, the Production Guild and their peers.
- Be eligible for complimentary six-month Alumni Membership to The Production Guild.
This Course is Recommended For:
- 1st Assistant Accountants, or equivalent level of experience, who have held this position on at least three HETV or feature films.
- Production Accountants who have recently stepped up and wish to expand their knowledge base.
What the Course Covers:
This training scheme will build upon existing knowledge with newly acquired skills, and will cover:
- The role of the Production Accountant
- Insurance and taxation
- VAT and tax relief
- Employment law and contracts including IR35
- Multi-currency and multi-company
- Forecasting
- Hiring inclusively
- Mental health awareness
- Leadership and conflict resolution
- Software including Movie Magic Budgeting and SmartAccounting.
