Man Like Mobeen Trainee Programme 2024
Calling all trainees aged 18+, prepared to base themselves in or commute to Birmingham, and have the right to work in the UK. Man Like Mobeen is produced by Tiger Aspect, for BBC Three. The series has scooped numerous awards and widespread critical acclaim. 63% of its audience is aged under 35 – well above the average for BBC Three.
Tiger Aspect are looking for SIX entry level trainees, who love all things TV and want to learn more about the industry. You don’t need any specific qualifications, media training or any previous TV experience to do this job but you do need bags of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. The work is full time in Birmingham and paid at a weekly rate of £725.
Their trainees will work in specific departments across the programme, including Production Design department, Costume department, Make up department, Camera department, Sound department and Production Management.
- Production Design – Design of sets and props, dressing sets, building sets. Interpreting the Director/Producer’s vision of locations/sets
- Costume Department – Design the look and style of each character through the costumes that they wear.
- Make-Up Department – Design the look and style of each character in the way they wear their hair and makeup, at times also responsible for creating bruising and wounds.
- Camera Department – Operate the camera and ensure focus across the shoot at the same time as working closely with the Director of Photography and Director to deliver their vision.
- Sound Department – To capture the dialogue and atmosphere of artistes and locations, and to mix multiple tracks on the day.
- Production Management – Entry level in this department would be a runner working in either the office or on location/set ensuring that cast are where they need to be and that the 1st Assistant Director has everything they need to aid the Director.

The deadline for this application is midday Friday 28th June.
You will be notified if your application has been successful and, if so, you will be invited to an interview day w/c 15th July 2024. If you have not heard from Tiger Aspect by this date, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful.
The programme will run between 9th September and 4th October 2024 (inclusive) although different departments will have different requirements. Therefore, the length will be 3 or 4 weeks within the above period dependent on department.
