Making It Possible, the personal and career development day for parents and carers, returns in Autumn 2019. The programme will empower successful applicants to focus on their individual goals, plan a route to achieve them and address the specific barriers and challenges they face. Making It Possible is for you if you’re on maternity/paternity leave or if you’re currently working but concerned you will stagnate in your career due to juggling work with parenting and/or caring demands. Or, you may be fired up to advance your career but struggling to actually make it happen.

Course content

This year, there will be an opportunity to participate in the programme online. The online version of Making It Possible will run weekly for five weeks and cover the same course content. The online version will run between week commencing  7th October and the week commencing 11th November (with one week break for half-term).

The on-site one-day development course will take place in London (9th Octiober), Leeds (16th October) and Cardiff (5th November). Each day will run from 9.30am to 5pm with a free crèche at each location. There will be suitable breaks in the schedule for those who need to feed babies. Then, the groups will come back together for progress update calls scheduled for November and January.

Blaire Palmer, a coach and confidante for senior leaders and teams, will lead each course.  A former BBC Radio 4 Today Programme producer, she has spent the past 16 years helping leaders work out how to find a way of working that is authentic and based on their values and priorities without compromising their professional ambitions.
