The leading digital channel BBC Three is bringing its online expertise to Birmingham on September 27th at the Bond Company on Fazeley Street for a full day of special masterclasses and interactive Q&A sessions. Those interesting in finding out more about the BBC’s leading digital channel and discover what it takes to produce award-winning content for it.

How we work at BBC Three masterclass: Commissioning and pitching to us – 12:00 – 13:00

Hear from Damian Kavanagh, controller of BBC Three, and Nasfim Haque, commissioning editor at BBC Three. They explore what makes this digital channel and its content so unique. This event will be followed by an RTS Midlands sign-up session, giving you the opportunity to find out more about working in the media in the Midlands.

 

Ellie Flynn screening – 14:00 – 14:50

Investigative journalist Ellie Flynn shows us one of her compelling documentaries (The Fight For Women’s Bodies: Ireland’s Historic Abortion Referendum) and talks about how she got into journalism, how she found a passion for investigating and what is next on the horizon.
