SUMMARY:RTS BUILDING YOUR PORTFOLIO CAREER
DESCRIPTION:DIVERSIFYING IN THE DOWNTURN\nCalling all TV Freelancers! \nWe know it’s tough out there\, we’ve slogged to break into the industry\, build our networks and reputations.  We want to keep doing what we love – but we need to make a living.  But as freelancers\, we’re hustlers and survivors – so how can we use our telly skills to help us survive TV’s worst recession\, without leaving the industry? \nThis panel session will look at diversifying your career portfolio and maximising your transferable skills\, focusing on the practical ways in which we can pivot from telly into industries like podcasting\, digital\, branded content\, copywriting and training.  It will explore how to find a second freelance career that’s right for you and tips on how to sidestep into another sector.  The session will also include a ‘skills audit’ to help you identify the skills that could support you in making a move. \nJoin us at The IET on Wednesday 17th April from 1pm until 2.30pm. To book your place please click BOOK NOW \nThis is a free event\, places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
