DESCRIPTION:Birmingham based production company\, Pelé Rocket\, are hosting their Open Garden Fundraiser weekend in South Brum. \nThe tropical Triangle Garden has been used as the main location of Pelé Rocket’s upcoming short film A Glass House\, written and directed by local filmmaker\, Charles Strider. The award-winning script explores confronting one’s mental state after loss in a multicultural family. The Midlands Garden at the film’s heart. \nThe lush garden also featured on BBC Gardeners World early last year\, which you can watch here. It’s featured about 32 mins into the episode🌴 \nThis is a great opportunity for budding photographers to expand their portfolios and some beautiful backgrounds for models/actors 📸🎭 \nThere’s something for everyone – you’ll find cacti\, bananas\, tree ferns\, bamboo\, epiphytes\, succulents\, cyathias\, agaves\, carnivorous plants and more. DESCRIPTION:*More Films For Freedom have just opened applications for their 2023 edition of the fund!* \nMore Films for Freedom is a partnership between BFI NETWORK and the British Council that aims to find and fund vital\, creative collaborations that explore LGBTQIA+ global human rights\, intersectionality or diaspora identity. \nWe aim to commission up to three new projects that will have at their heart an element of collaboration between UK-based filmmakers and storytellers from both Africa and the Middle East (SWANA) \nThe successful applicants will be awarded a grant of up to £25\,000 each to cover the costs of all stages of production\, delivery of materials\, and team travel. \nWe can support fiction\, documentary and animated film\, and films that cut across these generic distinctions. DESCRIPTION:Arts Council England gives funding to support creativity and culture across England. \nNational Lottery Project Grants  is a fund for creative individuals and organisations in England who want funding for a project. It is open to everyone and you can apply at any time. These grants usually range from £1\,000 to £100\,000. \nThis free event introducing Arts Council Project Grants is ideal for creative people and organisations who have not applied for Arts Council funding before and are based within the Black Country\, although if you have applied before you are still welcome to attend. \nSpecifically\, we look forward to meeting those from lower socio-economic backgrounds\, D/deaf or disabled people\, LGBTQIA+ people\, and those from the Global Majority\, who have traditionally had least access to our resources. \nLed by Relationship Managers from the Midlands team in collaboration with Creative Black Country\, this event will take you through the process of applying for National Lottery Project Grants\, followed by a 45-minute question and answer session. \nThe event will be held in person and will cover: \n• Access Support \n• Arts Council strategy\, Let’s Create \n• National Lottery Project Grant application guidance \n• The application form \n• The decision-making process \n• How to contact us \nThere will be British Sign Language interpretation during the event. \nIf you have any questions about the event or any access request\, please contact Faye Read via faye.read@artscouncil.org.uk by Friday 7th July. \nSign up for your place today.
