DESCRIPTION:The Pocket Film Festival whirrs back into action again to deliver festival number 6 across Stafford from 12-17 September 2023. The six-day watch fest will be bringing more cinematic treats\, special events\, and performances back to venues across Stafford and beyond. \nHopefully\, you know what to expect from us by now\, but if you don’t then you are in for a treat! DESCRIPTION:Every month we invite young filmmakers to join us at the Mockingbird Cinema to catch up\, meet new people and update each other what you’re up to. \n5.30pm – Arrivals \n6pm – Opportunities and Updates \n7pm – Networking \nWe want young people (16-25 years old) who want to meet like minded people to give themselves the opportunity to create and grow. We want to help foster a strong filmmaking community with the aim of helping each other to realise their potential. \nOur meetings include: \n\nShare information about opportunities\nA space to showcase your work and receive feedback\nDeliver information/workshops that are helpful to young filmmakers\nA space to network with other young creatives with the aim of fostering collaboration\nHear from you about what support you want/need\n\nWho we want to meet \nThis is for 16-25 year olds from Birmingham who want to gain experience and knowledge about filmmaking or wants to meet like minded and motivated young people. You may have a role in mind or you may want to explore your options. \n\nDirectors\nScreenwriters\nEditors\nProducers\nActors\nCamera operators/Cinematographers\nMusicians/Music producers\nStylists\nMake up artists\nAnd any other enthusiastic and motivated people!\n\nNote: we will also be taking photos and/or videos at the event. DESCRIPTION:Shine TV are opening a Birmingham office… Come and meet them!\nThey’re coming to Digbeth and hope to make a range of programmes here. They’d love to say hello! \nThe first of Shine TV’s get togethers will be Wed 13th Sep 6-9pm and they’d like to invite PDs/Edit Producers/Series Producer/Exec Producers who are based in or around the region or are thinking about relocating. They will be hosting other events for other levels very soon. \nThe new office won’t just be food focussed programming\, although if you love MasterChef please do come along as it’s a key part of their slate. \nIf you’ve met already do still come\, it will be nice to see you again and introduce their new place. \nPlaces are limited\, so let Shine TV know if you’d like to be there and they will make sure there is plenty of food and drink for everyone. \nIf you need any reasonable adjustments\, then please let Shine TV know.
