BFI NETWORK Shorts School August 2023

Welcome to BFI NETWORK Shorts School! A four day Lab dedicated to short filmmaking.
Over the course of the week, Shorts School participants will hear insights from BFI NETWORK-funded filmmakers and meet other creatives. Whether you’re working towards your first short or sixth, Shorts School is for emerging writers, directors & producers to explore case studies, creative process, navigating the industry with your short work.
There will be Q&A’s, roundtables, the chance to view short work that’s come through the Short Film Fund, as well as a networking session to meet peers and potential collaborators.
Guest speakers include:
- Darryl Foster, writer & director (Hard to Reach)
- Natasha Tonkin, writer & director (Darwin Story)
- Tracey Lopes, writer & director (The Girls’ Room)
- Ajuan Issac-George, writer & director (Snow Falls in the Summer)

21st – 24th August 2023, from 1pm each day.
