TRAINING OPPORTUNITY: Second Light Adventures in Freelancing LAB

Get advice and ideas on making your way through the media jungle.

Many of those who earn their living in film do so working for themselves. At this free one-day event you can explore what it takes to be a freelancer in the film and moving image industries, getting inspiration and advice from professionals in a huge range of fields – from art to animation, from gaming to graphics.

The day will include:

Tips on managing your money
How to market yourself
A session with award-winning animators Brothers McLeod.

AT: mac, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham ON: Friday 23 September, 10am – 4pm

This opportunity is targeted at young people aged 16-25 years from diverse backgrounds. These categories include:

NEETS (not currently in education, employment or training)
BME
Young carers and cared for children
Lone parents
Young people with disabilities

This course is free of charge to successful applicants. If you would like to apply email info@7inch.org.uk with CAREERS LAB in the subject, telling them why you’d like to take part in the event. Your application should arrive no later than 5pm on Monday 12th September.
