Posted on 30 May 2017

As part of Cinema Rediscovered, a classic, archive and repertory film festival at Watershed and Curzon Cinema & Arts, Clevedon, taking place July 27 – 30, we’re running a film critics’ day called The State of Things.

The State of Things takes place on Friday 28th July at Watershed and is a unique opportunity for aspiring and early career film critics to learn from industry professionals. Speakers include myself, critic Michael Pattison (MUBI Notebook), filmmaker and video essayist Charlie Lyne, author and activist Sophie Mayer (Political Animals: New Feminist Cinema) and others.

We really want to encourage young people, especially, to apply – it is free to attend for up to 15 participants. There is an online application form travel bursaries are available for those who don’t live in Bristol. We are hoping to spread the word far and wide for further details please click here.

Application deadline is June 2nd at midday.
