BOA, a brand new regional academy, has received funding from First Light to pilot a summer course for young people 18-19 years, in documentary film making. The Lab will provide an intensive, residential, ‘hothouse’ experience to challenge a group of 15 diverse, young filmmakers and producers to develop their ability to collaborate and communicate with experts from the industry, as well as extend their skills, knowledge and understanding of the technical, creative and production processes involved in documentary filmmaking.

We are looking for three people to work as interns on the Documentary Film Lab to support young people in developing their skills, and to be attached to the documentary teams throughout the programme.

There is a fee of £100 to cover travel expenses and all food is provided.
The programme involves beginning at BOA at 9 am each day and will involve some late evenings.
