Offering useful help and advice with job interviews, application forms, CVs and more!

First Light’s talent development programme, Second Light, hits the road this summer, kicking off with careers events, which will be run partnership with BBC Birmingham and BBC Nottingham.

Second Light is a talent development scheme aimed at supporting young people who are under-represented in UK film and television industries and is offering free workshops for young people which will include:

  • Advice on how to polish up or write a CV
  • Interview techniques
  • Discussions around what an organisation like the BBC look for in staff
  • Signposting to info about jobs and opportunities in film and television
  • Networking with industry professionals from the BBC

Dates:

BBC Nottingham – 29th June, 1 morning session, 1 afternoon session
BBC Birmingham – 30th June, afternoon session
