Presenting: Collabor8te discovering the next generation of premiere filmmakers
Speakers: Executive Producers David Allain and Jess Gormley
Supporting talent from the UK and Ireland, Collabor8te is an exciting new platform for short films, developing and funding scripts through to production and distribution. Rankin Film Productions (RFP) have just launched the second year of this initiative aimed at creating opportunities for new filmmakers to learn from experienced professionals: www.collabor8te.com
Following the success of Year 1, featuring high profile talent including Bill Nighy and Stephen Mangan, and a recent film school graduate’s script brought to life by Scottish BAFTA-winning director Martin Smith, Year 2 promises yet more fruitful creative partnerships. Announced at the Raindance Film Festival, Collabor8te continues the partnership between RFP, The Bureau, Dazed & Confused, and is now supported by Nokia Lumia. The objective is to champion new writing talent by funding 8 more films with budgets of up to £10,000 each.
Prior to the script submission deadline of 30 November, Executive Producers David Allain and Jess Gormley, will be talking about what they’re looking for and screening some of the films produced at RFP. Creative Networks brings together all parties involved in screen and sound media in the West Midlands, promoting both successful business development and collaboration.
