Bringing the best of the Midlands’ Musicians and Filmmakers together to create breakthrough music videos

After 3 outings in the Midlands between 2010 and 2012, and 9 successful outings in South Yorkshire (the latest of which kicks off today), The Producers’ Forum is bringing the country’s best music video competition back to the Midlands this June.

What is it?
2Weeks2Make It is an original music video competition created by Rob Speranza of the South Yorkshire Filmmakers Network where filmmakers get randomly paired up with a musician or band and given exactly two weeks to make a music video, from start to finish. No one knows who they’re working with in advance; instead they get to come to an exciting Launch Event, with experienced guest speakers that will furnish all participants with the training and tips they will need to make their video the best it can be. Teams are randomly drawn out of a hat and paired up and then they are off: two weeks two make it!

Following completion of their video, all successful teams are invited to a Gala Competition Screening, where they’ll have their video screened to a live audience, and where prizes will be awarded by a panel of experienced judges.

Competition timeline
Deadline for Applications: Monday, 22nd May, 2017
Notification of Acceptance: Monday 29th May, 2017
Launch Event: Friday, 2nd June, 2017 – Venue TBC
Deadline for completed Videos: 8pm Friday, 16th June, 2017
Gala Competition Screening: Monday, 26th June, 2017

Entry Fee
Filmmakers: It’s free to register your interest, but acceptance will require a Producers’ Forum Membership from the lead applicant (£25 per year)

It’s chaotic but great fun, with amazing results being produced through unique partnerships. We hope you will want to be part of this exciting event!
