Brindleyplace Film Festival

Posted on 13 August 2012

Brindleyplace, Birmingham will be hosting its first ever outdoor film festival.

Boasting a selection of 20 films (all certificate PG or below) the Brindleyplace Film Festival will take place from Monday 13th August until Tuesday 28th August in Central Square at Brindleyplace, Birmingham.

The festival, organised in partnership with Cineworld, commenced with the 80’s classic Back to the Future, with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Mamma Mia, Madagascar, Grease, Shrek and Ghostbusters also set to be screened during the festival.

Kate Fittall, destination marketing manager, GVA, said: “We received a huge number of film suggestions from tenants at Brindleyplace and it was really tough to come up with a shortlist that we thought best showcased people’s favourite films from when they were young, mixed in with movies that children love today. Hopefully people will see their favourite amongst our selection!

The Brindleyplace Film Festival has been made possible by tenants of the estate who have contributed significant donations in support of the event.

Films will start at 6pm from Monday to Friday, with two showings, one at 11am and the other at 2pm, on Saturday and Sunday.
