Want to see how ideas in engineering are born or get up close and personal with technology?

Then come along to Birmingham TechFest 2011.

Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment is running the first ever Birmingham TechFest – a city-wide celebration of technology, engineering and science on Saturday 25th June 2011.

Visitors to Birmingham’s Millennium Point will be able to watch, play and participate in TechFest’s exciting and inspiring challenges and activities. Workshops and exhibits will showcase motorsports, robotics, games, 3D modelling, animation, film and TV, 3D architectural modelling and a number of technology competitions for all ages.

Come and see how interactive games, exciting animation, robots and music videos are all created, from simple ideas to final design. You’ll also be able to find out more about what the University does and how it works with leading global technology companies such as Microsoft, Apple and Cisco.

We’re expecting hundreds of science and technology lovers, from school children and their families to University students and staff, as well as engineers and business leaders. Why not be one of them!

All you need to do is come along to Millennium Point anytime between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 25th June. All the TechFest exhibitions are free, although regular admission prices will apply to other attractions at Millennium Point, such as ThinkTank and the Birmingham IMAX.
